Welcome to Miami!
Dear Football Fans:
When I founded this all-star game seven years ago, it was an idea to bring the best players from the western region together for a chance to showcase their talents in an all-star bowl game called the Paradise Bowl in St. George, Utah. Then we moved to the national scene in 2004 and became Las Vegas All-American Classic, where the teams were divided into a true East vs. West battle.
It gives me great pleasure to announce that the success and growth of the game has mandated a move and a slight name change from Las Vegas to Miami, Florida – the hot-bed of college football talent.
Our journey has been a quick one over the last seven years. The move to Miami will provide us with the ability to continue in our present growth mode, offer new sponsorship opportunities and provide world-class weather and accommodations for the players, coaches and NFL scouts.
Our game's objective is to provide the best quality graduating seniors a chance to showcase their talents in front of professional scouts to prolong their football playing careers. In the process, we provide an entertaining football game for the college fans watching their favorite players for the last time in their school's helmet and for the NFL fans to dream about the new talent available in the upcoming draft.
The North-South All-American Game is a bowl game designed to emulate that of the NFL's Pro Bowl via a weeks worth of activities such as a golf tournament; player visits to local schools and hospitals; banquets; first-class parties, Battle Jam – a high school marching band competition; chart-topping artists performing during pre-game and half time, all culminating with the game to be played on Martin Luther King Day every year. It will be our honor to continue these young men’s “DREAMS” of playing in the NFL on that day. The week will be like no other during the college bowl game season.
With Miami being one of the most exciting cities in the world, it will offer greater accessibility and visibility, thus garnering more interest from the schools, players and media coverage. The media will have unprecedented access to these young athletes and be able to observe them up close as they prepare for the NFL draft and the responsibilities of becoming tomorrow's stars.
Unlike the typical bowl game where you have 3 or 4 outstanding players on each team, our two teams will consist of 100 of the best players from around the country making the North-South All-American Game America's top college all-star football game.
As we maintain our current vision, we will continue to strive for excellence in building a successful future. We will continue to assemble brilliant athletes for competition “one last time” as college all-stars. We look forward to working with the community, to giving back through charitable organizations and to supporting local athletic programs. Most of all, we look forward to bringing a phenomenal experience to our sponsors, the players, the coaches, the scouts and the city of Miami.
Sincerely,
Darry Alton, Founder/CEO
